DJ • Online Radio Host • Music Promoter • Entrepreneur

Born in Jamaica and based in the Toronto/Brampton area, DJ Agent Dre is a Caribbean-Canadian DJ, radio host, music promoter, and entrepreneur whose musical journey spans decades, genres, and generations.

His introduction to music began at home, exploring his father's extensive record collection and sound system. It was on his father's equipment that he first learned the art of DJing, developing an early appreciation for sound system culture and the power of music to bring people together.

During high school, he became known as **DJ Streak**, a nickname inspired by the distinctive gold streak in his hair. His early DJ journey included co-founding **South Side Sound Crew** with DJ Blacks, now based in Sudbury.

His talents eventually caught the attention of Mississauga's **Super 7 Sound**, where he joined Duba and Daddy Mac and earned the name **Little Dre**. He later moved to **Platinum Sound Crew**, working alongside Tek-1 and Jr K, before joining forces with Tek-1 to form **Prototype Universal**. During this period, he adopted the name **Special Agent Dre**, eventually establishing himself as a solo DJ under that name.

Beyond the turntables, Dre became an active force in Toronto's nightlife and event promotion. Beginning in 1996, he organized numerous parties in Mississauga through **Flying Tyme Graphics and Events**. Through Flying Tyme and his involvement with **Groundspace Entertainment**, he also helped bring Drum & Bass artists and events to Toronto, contributing to the city's evolving underground music scene.

His entrepreneurial vision extended into digital media with the launch of **VibeFM.net in 1999** and **TorontoDancehall.com in 2000** which he ran along with Tek-1 and photographer Bunny. Both platforms were created to connect audiences with music, artists, DJs, and the Caribbean entertainment community. .

Musically, DJ Agent Dre refuses to be confined to one genre. His selections span Dancehall, Reggae, Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, Dubstep, House, classic Chicago House, Trap, and Leftfield Bass. Whether delivering an energetic club set, an underground electronic music mix, or a classic Caribbean selection, his approach reflects a lifelong passion for musical discovery.

Today, DJ Agent Dre continues to produce radio shows and mixes for **VibeFM.net** and **TorontoDancehall.com**, while providing professional DJ entertainment for weddings through **TorontoWeddingDJs.com**, as well as private parties, corporate functions, and public events.

From Jamaican sound system roots to Toronto's nightlife, radio, and digital music platforms, DJ Agent Dre's journey reflects a lasting commitment to music, culture, and connecting people through sound.
